Zero Waste Pet Shampoo Bar

$13.00

Description

Liquid soap tends to run out of our hand before we can get it to all the important areas. As pet lovers ourselves, we know the difficulty of getting liquid soap onto their belly & legs. Bath time should be quick and easy, not difficult, and wasteful. This pet shampoo bar is round, making it easy to hold and apply directly where it is needed most.

The bar effortlessly works into a rich lather and rinses easily, leaving your fur baby feeling clean. Most importantly our blend helps ease itchy and damaged skin. Plus, it smells good. Especially for those days they unexpectedly pick up extra stink or random yuckiness, and it is vital they smell clean after bath time.

A few good swipes of the bar on their back, belly, and legs are all you need to get scrubbin’. The bar may appear small (2 ounces) but the ingredients are concentrated. The bars are handmade using a high-pressure mold to press the ingredients together. This is NOT just a bar of soap. Depending on the size of your dog, this pet shampoo bar can last the equivalent of 2-3 bottles of liquid soap!

The fur-loving ingredients gives you a rich shampoo bar leaving them with a healthy coat and feeling soft. Our special formula is effective enough to remove the dirt, yet mild enough to avoid stripping their skin and coat of all its natural oils, to aiding in the healing from skin irritations.

Tangie was started because Angie had enough of her annoying skin irritations. Something in her head told her to look at the laundry soap she was using. After all, we ‘wear’ our laundry soaps every day when we wear clothes. She looked at the ingredient labels on the laundry bottles, and to her surprise, there were no ingredients listed. No ingredients listed, is that legal? She ‘assumed’ all the ingredients had to be listed on products like these.

She then looked at her shampoo bottles, skin lotion, and kitchen cleaners. What she later learned about ingredients label requirements shocked her. Unlike food products, manufacturers of chemical products are not required to list ingredients on their containers or make them public! The industry simply expects us to trust their choice of ingredients and we just assume they will choose the safest ones.
What started as a quest for happier skin has grown into something much more. When Angie Ringler launched Tangie in 2012, she committed to only using natural ingredients. Driven by her passion for the best ingredients, as well as a personal commitment to respecting our planet, through Tangie, Angie has created magnificent products.
Care Instructions

Let the bar dry between uses. Like any bar of soap, if it sits in water, it will break down fast.

Ingredients

Sodium Coco Sulfate, Coconut Oil, Neem Oil, Lemongrass Essential Oil, Aloe Vera, Bentonite Clay.

Coconut Oil. Just like with humans, coconut oil is beneficial in odor control and maintaining healthy skin. Research suggests that it has anti-inflammatory properties.

Neem Oil. It is an excellent ingredient to look for in pet shampoo. Its antibacterial, antiviral, and antimicrobial properties can help fight off infections and microbes that cause itching. Additionally, when neem oil is applied regularly, it is absorbed into the bloodstream through the skin and gives dogs protection from further infections or infestations for some time. So, not only does neem oil help relieve itching and discomfort caused by infections, but it can also help prevent future problems. This makes it a great choice for any pet owner concerned about their animal’s skin health. On its own, the smell of neem oil is horrendous, but the oil really works! Neem oil is a natural pesticide which can be toxic to Cats.

Lemongrass Essential Oil. We blended the Neem oil with Lemongrass Essential Oil to mask the unpleasant scent of the Neem oil. Lemongrass Essential Oil is a pleasant citrusy scent that is also been shown to repel ticks and fleas.

Aloe Vera. The fresh Aloe Vera plant is not safe for dogs to ingest however, Aloe Vera gel and powder are safe to put on their skin. It provides a smoothing and hydrating effect.

Bentonite Clay. It has highly absorptive properties and soothes irritated skin.

How To Use

Six Easy Steps:

Step 1: Thoroughly soak the fur with water.

Step 2: Rub the bar between your hands to jump start the lather process or if you need one hand to keep your furry friend in place, simply start rubbing the shampoo bar in a circular motion on their neck, belly and feet.

Step 3: Put the bar down and work the shampoo into their fur all over their body. More lather will appear as you massage their skin and coat.* For added comfort to hot spots and insect bites, and massage those spots for a few extra minutes.

Step 4: Rinse thoroughly.**

Step 5: Take a step back, and let the shaking
commence!

Step 6: Enjoy the scent and softness of your fur baby while giving them a big ol’ hug.

*The bar is concentrated. Do NOT keep rubbing the bar until you see lather. You will be pleasantly pleased with the amount of lather from a few good swirls on their fur once you started massaging the shampoo into their fur with your hands.

**The mucous membranes of the eyes are very sensitive. If by chance lather gets in their eyes, rinse well with cold water to avoid irritation.
