Woven Sari Pouch

$18.00

Description

This classic pouch fits essentials like cards, tissues, makeup and phone charging cords, coins, hand sanitizer, lip balm and other tiny treasures you’d like to keep close at hand.

Talented women artisans craft these pouches from sari's and other leftover material that's been discarded from local factories. They wash, dry and cut the fabrics so they can be woven on a 100-year-old manual loom. The woven pieces are then sewn into this beautiful pouch.

They're sustainably handmade with love by artisans in Nepal, working in a cooperative founded by Nasreen Sheikh, a former child sweatshop laborer who overcame amazing odds to become an international human rights advocate.

Colors and patterns are all one-of-a-kind and will vary.

Choose from Circle (measures 4" in diameter) or Rectangle (measures 5 x 6") Pouch.
