tonlé

A unique rope belt that is handmade from small scraps of textile waste as part of our zero-waste process. Using each and every piece of jersey textile is an important step in our circular design and production process, we make sure that not a single scrap goes into the garbage, to put your mind and body at ease as you wear it.

Sizing: To achieve the style shown in the photo, model has sized up.
  • XS - M          70 7/8"
  • L - XL           76 3/4"
  • 2XL - 3XL      85 5/8"

Care: This piece is made from cotton jersey remnants (t-shirt offcuts) – and may include a blend of other natural plant-based fibers and some elastic. tonlé burn tests each fabric to assure that it is at least 90% natural, plant-based fiber. Fabrics are pre-washed and shrunk, but if you machine dry this garment it may shrink slightly. To best take care of your zero waste upcycled garment (and to be as earth-friendly as possible), we recommend machine washing in cold water, and hanging to dry. This garment can be ironed on low heat on the back side of the print, but we really don’t think that’s necessary!

tonlé is a maker-led community that values inclusivity, honesty, and reciprocity. Their business is more than the garments they make. It is about creating a purposeful future for fashion: one that is restorative, regenerative and just. Through a sustainable zero waste process, they create clothing, accessories and homewares from reclaimed materials that other manufacturers consider waste. And they strive for circularity and climate justice to mitigate the fashion industry’s devastating impact on the planet.
