Burte Upcycled Earrings
Description
If you’re looking for recycled bullet casing earrings and want them small - this is the pair for you! The Burte Earrings are dainty little fair trade earrings made from recycled bullet casings by women in Ethiopia and named after one of the women in cooperative.
Measures about 1" and comes with rubber backings. The beads are made from silver-plated metal and pure brass.
This jewelry is made from 100% recycled materials. The brass and/or copper beads are a pure metal, but the silver beads are silver-plated. Given the nature of the raw materials, there is potential for the silver-plated beads to tarnish over time depending on their reaction to the pH of your skin. But don't worry, they'll still be beautiful!
Fair Anita is challenging norms within the fashion industry and creating supply chains in the most ethical way they can imagine: investing in women and centering makers throughout every part of the process.
