Fat and the Moon
Whether you like to call it mountain misery, Chamaebatia foliolosa, or the Miwok name ‘kitkitdizze’ you’d have to have the experience of being on the western side of the Sierras, ‘cause it doesn’t grow anywhere else. Everything about this plant is distinct: the fern like, yet sticky leaves, the cascading effect of kitkitdizze carpeting the forest floor, and of course, the scent. KKD is the smell of home for Fat and the Moon.
While salt sprays are often associated with the beach, coconut, or summer, the truth is that salt sprays are for all those other days you don’t have an ocean dip at your fingertips.
Fat and the Moon sees salt as a grounding substance and associates salt with earth and home.
Spirit and Salt Mist is a gift from the home of Fat and the Moon to yours. Virginia cedarwood, and clary sage essential oils along with the tincture of KKD evoke the forest aroma. The scent of the spray is light, as if you laid your head down for a short nap right off the trail.
On dry hair, a few mists spritzed like a halo around your head will give you a nice bit of texture and umph. On damp hair - spray down with a good dose to inspire more wave and moveable bod.
