A breezy tunic hand-printed with bold plant motifs. Featuring two side slits, hand-carved coconut buttons up the front and one patch pocket on the chest, this tunic is great for layering and is also an ideal swimwear cover-up.
This tunic is a gender-expansive style designed in collaboration with Christopher, aka The Plant Kween. These are their thoughts on styling it: “This fabulously flowy tunic is simply fierce. Wear by itself and show a lil leg or wear with a pair of bottoms, dahling, you can't go wrong with this lewk!”
The pieces in the Plant Kween x tonlé collection were created out of a shared appreciation for radical self love, healing, community care, and (of course) plants! This collection combines Christopher’s visionary style with tonlé’s sustainable, zero waste process, as each piece is made from reclaimed materials. This tunic is designed to fit many body types as part of our work to disrupt the gender binarism in the fashion industry. Clothing in this collection allows fashion to be a form of self-expression and joy for tonlé's team making these pieces, and for the community wearing them.
Sizing: tonlé are working to reject and disrupt gender binarism in the fashion industry. Because traditional size charts can often be quite binary - we invite you to consider their measurements included in their sizing chart when considering which items may fit you best. If you have any questions about our sizing, don’t hesitate to reach out! They have worked to make their garments have an adaptable fit for all bodies. Please note that some garments may have specific fit notes and those will be included in the notes about that specific garment’s fit.
Care: Made from reclaimed rayon, which feels cool and comfortable to the touch. tonlé pieces are made from textiles that larger garment manufacturers consider waste. Their expert sourcing team seeks out the highest quality fabrics left over from factory production, burn testing each textile to assure that it is at least 90% natural, plant-based fiber. They recommend machine washing in cold water and hanging to dry. This is the best way to care for your pants—and the earth. Iron on medium heat if needed. Fabrics are pre-washed and shrunk, but may shrink slightly if machine-dried.
