Tallow is rich in the same types of lipids found in youthful, vibrant skin, and is chock full of vitamins A, D, E & K. The fatty acids in tallow are much closer in molecular structure and size to the oils our own skin produces, making it more bioavailable. The plant oils more commonly used in skin care products tend to have a larger molecule size. The smaller molecular mass of tallow allows it to penetrate the skin barrier, actually reaching below the surface to get a little more than just skin deep!
