The tools we use for shaving have a significant impact on our environment and personal care routine. Most razors on the market are made from disposable plastics, contributing to the growing plastic waste problem.

Plastic waste not only harms our planet but also affects the quality of our shaving experience. Over-packed blades and lubricating strips laden with petroleum-based agents lead to skin irritation and frustrating results.

The Leaf Razor is designed to shave just like the common 5 blade cartridges—as close a shave, as easy a shave, as safe a shave. Except with none of the plastic waste, and with refills that cost pennies.

  • Pivoting head for a body hugging shave
  • Adjustable closeness - load 1, 2, or 3 blades for the closest shave
  • Compatible with standard safety blades
  • Magnetic loading assist for easy blade loading
  • Long, balanced handle delivers control - for extra grip, use the silicone grip sleeve

Leaf Shave develops the most innovative and sustainable shaving razors for humans. They set out to make a better razor, and it turns out that a better razor is also better for the environment. Now – they're on a mission to keep pushing the envelope – because they know that a more sustainable shave doesn’t have to sacrifice quality of experience. Since launch, their users have helped keep millions of disposable plastic razors and cartridges out of landfill.

Care Instructions

The razor itself will not rust unless it’s wildly abused or neglected. Think of the razor like the fixtures and faucets in your shower. They’re finished for corrosion protection. Light care will go a long way for their longevity.

Shaving blades of any variety will eventually start tarnishing. Water + Metal + Time = Rust, eventually. Keep your blades dry between uses for their longest life.

How To Use

HOW TO USE | LOAD

1) Your Leaf Razor does not come with blades loaded in the head—you will find a 10 pack of single-edge blades tucked right next to the razor inside of its box.

2) Unscrew the head of the razor—don’t worry, the screw will not fall out, it is secured.

3) Flip the head open, and starting from the lowest position (bottom, middle, top) load a blade.

4) To “load a blade,” sit it flat on its blade level notching both sides. The blades have small half-moon indents on either side, and each blade level has a matching feature. It’s essential that the blade is notched on both sides and seated flat. Watch the videos in the product description, for a visual representation of loading your Leaf Razor.

5) Once you’ve loaded the blades you’re shaving with, screw the head closed. Finger tighten until it’s secure, no need to over-tighten. Do not use your razor without the screw engaged.

6) You can load one, two, or three blades. Each blade position is individually guarded, meaning they can work independently or in conjunction with each other.

7) The most commonly used “loading setups” are either a) fully loaded with all three blades, this will provide the closest shave; or b) two blades loaded in the middle and top positions leaving the bottom position empty, this is a gentler setup and most commonly used while you’re leaning your tool or if you find this setup gives the closeness you desire.

HOW TO USE | PREP

Thoroughly wash and exfoliate your skin prior to shaving. Soften your hair using warm water then apply Shave Oil and/or Shave Soap to provide a protective barrier against your skin.

HOW TO USE | SHAVE

1) Bring the razor to your skin letting the razor maintain the correct pressure and draw the razor across your skin to shave.

2) Depending on your skin and hair—and your desired level of closeness—complete one pass with the grain of hair growth, re-apply Shave Soap, and complete a second pass across or against the grain of hair growth for the closest finish.

3) After shaving, thoroughly rinse your razor and place it back into its stand or hang it on the shower holder to dry between uses.
