Mending Kit

If you’ve ever ripped a pair of jeans, had a moth eat your sweater or are just trying to learn a new skill, this kit is for you! This kit is made with secondhand materials so please allow for variation between what you see in the photo but each kit contains:

  • four different types of fabric to patch with
  • one iron-on patch for quick fixes
  • a handful of buttons, safety pins, needles and pins
  • a variety of threads to get you stitching

Pantry items are selected at random.  Images shown are just examples of what you might receive subject to availability, but you will still receive a beautifully unique assortment of items to get you ready to mend.

When you’re looking for a set of supplies to explore a new medium, figuring out what you actually need can be overwhelming and cost-prohibitive. Make & Mend was born out of a desire to change that narrative. Established in 2017 by Somerville artist Emily Tirella, Make & Mend is working to remove the financial barriers to creation by offering gently used art supplies at an accessible rate for seasoned artists and first-timers alike.
